How SCRIP works!

Gift cards are available for a wide variety of businesses. You buy the cards at face value. We have obtained them at a discount, with the savings listed as the "PROFIT" on the list on the opposite side of this paper. That savings is then split between your own family account and the band account. You may use your funds for annual fees, Lawrence Central trip, band banquet, etc. You may also "cash in" the rebate to obtain gift cards. We cannot pay out the money directly to families due to federal regulations for nonprofit groups. Your family and friends can also buy on your behalf – just have them let us know what family to apply the 'profit' to.

EXAMPLE OF ORDER:

$30 Panera, total profit $2.70.

$100 Speedway, total profit $4.00.

$50 Kohl's, total profit $2.00.

$50 Olive Garden, total profit $4.50

Profit from order $13.20 -- $6.60 to your account, $6.60 to the band account.

Placing 1 order like this a month would be 12 months x 6.60 = $79.20/year, so you can see it does add up!

Great to use for Christmas, birthdays, graduation, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc., and your account will built even faster.
